Juhudi Children Club
The mosaics art project is an ongoing art project of Juhudi Childrens Club in partnership with Safaricom Foundation that creates mosaic artworks for hospitals in Kenya. Started in 2002, this project has seen beautiful artworks created for Gertrudes Garden Children Hospital, Mathari Mental Hospital, and Kenyatta National Hospital among others. To continue with the good work, Juhudi Childrens Club required funding for the mosaics Arts Project at Nakuru General Provincial Hospital.
Safaricom Foundation promotes the use of art in hospitals. We supported the children create warm, colourful, inspiring and life affirming environments for patients. The Foundation funded the project at Kshs 2,100,000
The project encouraged the development of creative and imaginative minds for the children and adults involved in the project. The mosaic artworks are not only therapeutic to patients but also uplifting to them, their families, friends and hospital staff at the Nakuru General Provincial Hospital.
