About the project

The Challenge

Lanet Special School is located in Nakuru County. The school caters for pupils with special needs; physically and mentally. They had no adequate furniture thus this hindered access to quality education as the children had to sometimes share the limited facilities.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation funded the purchase of furniture for the pupils in the school at total cost of Ksh.300, 000 .It donated chairs and desks to help the students to learn and ease the challenge of the inadequate furniture.

The Impact

The furniture has created a conducive learning environment for the children who can now learn within comfort.
