About the project

The Challenge

The hospital did not have a TB diagnosis hood, which forced patients to travel to distant facilities to get diagnosed. It also did not have enough other medical equipment, which affected the quality of the services it provided to patients.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation, through the Ndoto Zetu initiative, donated  1 TB Diagnostic Hood, 1 heater, 2 weighing scales , 1 Sphygmomanometer and 1 sterilizer worth KES 1,000,000.

The Impact

The services in the health centre have improved. It can now diagnose patients and conduct basic tests. The facility now does not have to refer patients with TB symptoms to another hospital.
